Dr. Dawnna Walton is a Houston native who is a Board Certified pain physician in both Interventional Pain Medicine and Anesthesiology.
She is also a Military Veteran, having received an Honorable Discharge from the U.S. Army at the rank of Major. Dr. Walton believes in compassionate and comprehensive care to improve her patients’ quality of life.
Dr. Walton received her Doctorate of Medicine from the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston. After medical school, she served as an active duty officer and physician in the army and was honored to care for the brave men and women serving their country alongside her. Dr. Walton later returned to
University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston to complete her Anesthesiology training where she was elected Chief Resident and received many other honors for excellence. After completing her residency, Dr. Walton remained at UTMB to complete her Fellowship training in Interventional Pain Medicine. She was drawn to Greater Houston/Greater Victoria Interventional Pain Associates by the shared core values of kindness and compassion. When she’s not working, she enjoys spending time with her family, cooking, promoting healthy lifestyles, mentoring, and traveling.
